PENGARUH KEGIATAN KOMUTING TERHADAP KESEHATAN FISIK PEGAWAI: STUDI KASUS PADA PEGAWAI KEMENTERIAN KEUANGAN

This academic study aims to conduct observations on the influence of employees’ commuting activity, indicated by the distance and travel time from home to work on employees' physical health, by including moderating factors of employee stress, refreshing activities, work from home (WFH) policy, and underlying diseases. This study uses a quantitative method by utilizing cross-sectional data on respondents of Ministry of Finance employees who work in the administrative area of the city of Jakarta. By using the SmartPLS tool, this study produces an analysis that transportation, with factors of distance and travel time from home to work, employee stress perception, and underlying diseases have a significant correlation with employee physical health. Results indicate that, the WFH policy and refreshing activities are significant moderating factors influencing the relationship between transportation and employee physical health. Implications for academic activities and managerial and practical policies, research limitations and suggestions for future research are discussed in this academic study
