Business licensing and logistics are mutually reinforcing components of a country’s economy. An efficient licensing system promotes business entry by ensuring legal certainty and administrative ease, while robust logistics support seamless and cost-effective trade. This study adopted a qualitative descriptive approach to examine Indonesia’s business licensing and logistics systems, focusing on regulatory frameworks, public services, and operational efficiency. The findings indicated that although recent reforms, such as OSS-RBA and NLE, have made progress, significant challenges remain. These include regulatory complexity, fragmented data systems, infrastructure gaps, and insufficient stakeholder coordination. To address these, Indonesia must accelerate regulatory simplification, strengthen institutional coherence, and foster private sector engagement. Sustainable improvement will require integrated efforts in infrastructure development, digitalization, data security, and governance reform. Advancing these areas is essential to enhance Indonesia’s investment climate, reduce operational costs, and boost global competitiveness.
