SINERGI PENGELOLAAN ZAKAT DAN PROGRAM BANTUAN SOSIAL PEMERINTAH UNTUK MEREDUKSI KEMISKINAN

Efforts to reduce the number of poverty cases are a collective task between the Government and society. Currently, the Government has a Social Protection Program to take care of the lower income people affected by the pandemic especially in terms of economic. Baznas, as the official Government institution which has responsibility to collect and distribute alms (zakat), also has poverty alleviation programs. This study identifies the potential synergy of poverty reduction programs conducted by Baznas and the Government using SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). Subsequently, based on the SWOT analysis, strategies are developed to facilitate the implementation of this integration. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with SWOT analysis, using IFAS (Internal Factor Analysis Summary) and EFAS (External Factor Analysis Summary) calculations to determine the strategy matrix. The results indicate that based on the SWOT analysis, the Government and Baznas can synergize their programs in poverty alleviation efforts. Based on the IFAS and EFAS calculations, the strategy matrix shows that despite facing various threats, the integration of zakat and Social Protection Program still possesses internal strengths. Therefore, a strategy that can be applied is to utilize these strengths to seize long-term opportunities through program diversification strategies.
